Degree in Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering or National Diploma or B Tech qualification in the same field will also be considered (Degree will be a definite advantage)

2 – 3 years in Civil Construction experience in Estimating and Quantity Surveying
Very important : Ability to read technical drawings
Very important : Must be proficient in Excel and MS Word (experience with MS Projects will be beneficial)

Prepare thorough and complete cost estimates for enquiries / contracts.
Review tender documents and project specifications in detail.
Prepare tenders in cases where we are the main contractor.
Obtain quotes from local and international suppliers.
Prepare quotes.
Attend tender briefings, occasionally on site, as and when required.
Analyse data such as labour costs, equipment, materials, subcontracts, overheads, insurance, mark-up, and any other costs that may affect the contracts.
Utilise drawings to provide detailed specification cost information when requesting quotes from various suppliers etc.
Prepare quotes for general telephonic enquiries.
Provide information to clients on all Company products as and when required.
Follow up on orders and liaise with the client accordingly.
Obtain and collate information for tenders.
Assist Contract Managers with claims as and when required.
Assist Contract Managers cost advice and price information during all stages of the contract
Maintaining electronic filing systems on all enquiries
