HR Officer

Minimum requirements:
National Diploma/Degree in HR or similar qualification.
5 Years IR, HR experience
Microsoft Office: Advanced Excel required
Sage VIP Payroll
Knowledge of clocking systems
Knowledge of submissions to merSeta

General:
Ensure legal and professional approach to all employees.
Personnel record keeping.
Maintain organizational structure and Job Descriptions.
Implementation, monitor and update of Policies and Procedures for SA Office according to ISO 9001 standards.
Maintain close contact with Group HR as required.
Employment Equity Management by ensuring company adhere to relevant legislation.
Manage BEE process.
Finalize and submit annual reporting.

Industrial Relations:
Ensure that IR issues are handled as per legislation and assist managers.
Ensure all HR documents are current and in line with SA legislation.
Formulating charges for disciplinary warnings in accordance with company code of conduct
Formulating charges for disciplinary hearings and issuing of disciplinary notices.
Help managers prepare for disciplinary hearings.

Training:
Induction of new Employees.
Arrange training according to annual training plan.
Maintain training records of all staff.
Prepare annual training plan and budget.
Submit Work skills plan and reports to merSeta.
Managing learner ships and internships.

Recruit and Select:
Searching for the best candidates for the position.
Communication with recruitment agents.
Conducting interviews.
Compile contracts and starter packs for new employees.
Exit interviews.

Performance Evaluation:
Ensure performance appraisals are conducted.
Ensure appraisals are received.
Calculate annual increase/ year-end bonus percentage according to employee appraisals scores.

Employee Wellness and Safety:
Arrange wellness days.
SHE Appointment for Office.
Investigating and reporting of incidents.
Liaison with Safety Consultant.

Employee Induction:
Ensure each employee follows the Company induction policy.
All employees to receive HR policy, training plan, job description on commencement of duties.
Follow Probation Policy process with mangers to ensure employee is correctly appointed for a position.

Payroll:
Capturing of all events i.e. hiring, terminations, etc on VIP Payroll (Premier).
Uploading of payroll file on Standard Charted Bank for transfer of salaries.
Distribution of electronic payslips (Infoslips).
Reconciles payroll in liaison with Finance, Tax year end recon and issuing of IRP 5s.
Retrenchment calculations.
Annual increase research and proposal to Group HR.
Liaise with Labour Broker regarding outsourced labour and managing weekly wages and monthly outsourced EEs payroll.
IOD Reporting.

Benefit and Administration:
Queries, payment and recon of Risk and Pension Funds.
Liaison with benefit consultants and Annual research on alternative options.
Leave Administration.
Capturing of leave on VIP.
Administration of the time and attendance biometric system.
Advise staff with regards to claiming UIF benefits (Maternity, Terminated employees etc)
Supply all relevant documentation for the application of unemployment benefits.
Organizing of Strategic Sessions and social Events (Functions, etc.).
Monthly HR/Safety Report.
Management and booking of all local travel and accommodation and International travel in co-ordination with travel agent.
Arrange visas, Travel Advances.
Managing Admin Assistant and Cleaner.
Ensuring all personnel files are in order.
Ensure all relevant info in personnel files.
Ensure all correspondence is filed.
Maintain filing system.
