The role will support the Group Merchandise Procurement & Stock team by processing timeously and accurately all payment requests. This role will be responsible for ensuring deliverables are executed as per the time and quality standards agreed in the Accounts Payable SLAs.
Receive all import files from Operations for processing;Capture foreign currency invoices, statements and/or request to pay;Check invoices to pay against orders and ensure all variance tolerances are approved by division;Receive, sort and prepare invoices with supporting documentation;Accurately process all invoice and payments on the banking systems ensuring PO matching;Investigate anomalies such as Purchase Order exceptions or invoice duplicates;Ensure any forward exchange contract has supporting documentation and is linked to relevant invoice; Process withholding tax and follow up on certificates;Process all journals and journal adjustments, and liaise with the Record to Report team as and when necessary;Reconcile all SAP, PMM & Tradecloud stock.Ensure accurate recordkeeping for all accounting activities for audit purposes;Work alongside the GMP and Stock teams to ensure all month end and year end processes are accurate and completed as per the agreed timelines and guidelines;Where required, escalate requests and queries accurately and timeously to the Accounts Payable Accountant and PMM team.Problem solving and interaction with different stakeholders
1-3 years of relevant working experienceExperience on Tradecloud advantageousKnowledge of PMM would be advantageousMatric required, with an advanced Diploma or equivalent certification in Finance/Accounting as preferable
